To see the story before a single frame is shot, a set is built or a euro is spent. Storyboards catch pacing, blocking and budget problems early — while they're still pencil, not lost days on set.


Storyboards come in different forms, depending on what stage you're at and who you're talking to:

Quick sketches — usually black & white, dozens of drawings in tight sequence, made fast to keep pace with a director or producer

Colour studies — mood-setting per scene, a handful of more finished images focused on atmosphere and composition rather than action

Moodboard shots — polished, refined images built mainly to inspire and immerse, often used to win over investors
